Research Interests

Biomaterials, biomineralization, and drug delivery devices, particularly:

  • Hydroxyapatite coating on titanium implant using chemical deposition method.
  • Using coating material on titanium implant as a carrier for delivery of Bone Morphogenetic Proteins (BMPs).
  • Development of inhalable aerosol formulations of anti-inflammatory drugs for treatment of smoke inhalation injury in burn-victim patients.
  • Release of anti-bacterial agents from albumin-based insert for treatment of periodontal diseases.
  • Prevention of biofilm formation on tooth surface to avoid dental caries.
