Development and randomised controlled evaluation of written medicines information (WMI) for patients with type 2 diabetes.

Written Medicines Information (WMI) is considered as a key component in diabetes patient education. In Australia, there is a paucity of WMI that specifically tailors to the extensive array of medicines used for the lifelong management of type 2 diabetes. This research project aims to develop and evaluate WMI that will provide patients with a general overview of managing hyperglycaemia, hypertension and dyslipidaemia in the context of type 2 diabetes.
