The pharmacokinetic interaction between clozapine and valproate

The metabolic interaction between clozapine and valproate will be the main focus of this project. The impact of valproate on the the activities of cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes may provide valuable information about the mechanism of pharmacokinetic interaction between these two drugs.

Other aspects of the interaction like the frequency of side effects in patients using clozapine and valproate concomitantly will be investigated.
